Choosing a Fireplace Xtraordinair Fireplace

With the Fireplace Xtraordinair line, Travis Industries specializes in gas fireplaces and inserts, although they also carry wood burning stoves. They are known for their great heating capabilities and as a bonus, will work as a radiant heater should your power go out. Fireplace Xtraordinair carries a selection of elegant fireplaces that all have an advanced combustion design and is designed around a unique process that takes fresh air in from the outside to heat your home. When you have one of these fireplaces, you know that you have one of the cleanest burning fireplaces manufactured today.

The Fireplace Xtrordinair line offers several sizes which are beautifully styled and offer a selection of extras and an extra large view of your burning fire. Most of the stoves are one of two general concepts; the first is designed to be fully enclosed and built as a part of your masonry, and the second is a "zero clearance" fireplace that uses an air-cooled chimney. If you are building a new home, you can install one of these fireplaces as a part of your construction, or you can install one by retrofitting it into your existing home.

You can choose between the wood burning FPX (Fireplace Xtrordinair) wood fireplaces or the FPX Direct Vent Gas fireplaces. Some of the advantages of a Fireplace Xtrordinair wood stove include the fact that it has an airtight firebox, carries a catalytic converter which allows for cleaner burning and outputs up to 77,000 BTU per hour. The FPX wood burning stove comes with a lovely gold plated door and you can select either an Arch or Rectangular surround. You can beautifully match these surround styles with any room in your home. These qualities, among others, make this a popular choice for fireplace consumers.

You can also choose the Fireplace Xtrordinair gas burning stove. This fireplace offers the look and feel of a real fire, some of the best home heating technology and is also very cost efficient. A great feature of the gas burning stove is that it also functions during power outages. The FPX gas stove has a direct-vent feature that does not rely on drafts to remove the fire exhaust, but instead has a closed combustion and flue system that does not draw any air from your home, it vents through your wall. This way, no fireplace air can leak out of your house and no flue gasses can leak into your home so the gas stove can be installed virtually anywhere in your home, even in bathrooms in some cases.

You can choose to use either propane or natural gas (depending on stove model and available fuels) and you can also have an installed on/off switch, remote control and a wall thermometer that you can use to monitor your temperatures. The gas stove is available in two distinct color styles; 24 karat gold finish or black metallic paint. This assures that their customers will have a selection of finishes to match any room they decide to put their Fireplace Xtrordinair in. Whichever fireplace you choose, be it gas or wood burning, you are sure to delight the members of your family when you gather around the fire to enjoy the warmth. If you buy one for them, you're sure to become their fireplace extraordinaire!
