Buying a Jotul Stove or Fireplace

If you are looking to add to the value of your home or invest in a beautiful hearth, look to Jotul to fill your needs. Jotul has the distinction of being the oldest and best-selling stove brand name and you can decide between one of the wonderful cast iron stoves, inserts, or fireplaces. They are known as one of the best cast-iron stove manufacturers around the world and you would be hard pressed to find a Jotul fireplace owner who disagrees.

Jotul started in Scandinavia in the 1850's and they produce almost 100,000 stoves and fireplaces every year to a large international market. They have created subsidiary companies to assist in their worldwide selling such as; Jotul SA for the French market, Jotul North America, which serves Canada and The United States, Jotul UK for the European Market, and Jotul Deutschland GmbH for the German market.

Fredrickstad, Norway is the home of Jotul's manufacturing facility. Their factory is home to the most up-to-date molding and casting machinery and is renowned for their environmental commitments by using only recyclable materials. From here, all of the stoves are shipped to their various counterparts to then be sold to eager buyers all over the world.

There are many designs of Jotul stoves that you can look into for purchase. If you are looking into buying a wood stove, you may want to consider their 3CB model. It is a best-selling, mid-size wood burner, is very beautifully styled, and is easy to operate and tend to. The 3CB is a front loading stove and can accept up to 18" logs which make it very easy to fuel, it also comes equipped with an easily accessed ash pan which makes cleanup a breeze. There is the option of a fire screen which makes it feel as though you are sitting in front of an open fire, and the ability to vent from almost any part of the stove gives you a wider selection of places to put it in your home.

Another great choice would be a gas stove. Gas stoves are heated using propane or natural gas, and this helps to keep your fireplace clean of ash and is a more efficient burning solution. Gas stoves from Jotul offer optional wireless remote controls so you never have to leave the comfort of your recliner, optional thermostats so that you never have to push a button, and there are certain models that are available with an output of up to 40,000 BTUs which allows your fireplace to potentially heat a large area of your home. One of their best heat producers and largest units is the Jotul Firelight GF 600 DV. This model has double opening doors, which makes it seem as though you are burning a real wood fire.

Whether you choose a wood burning stove or a gas burning stove from Jotul, you will love the look and feel it gives to your home. Since this brand offers stoves ranging from traditional to contemporary, there is a fireplace to suit your every need.
