Imagine, before new clean air legislation went into effect, there were approximately 500 different manufacturers of wood stoves. In the mid-1980's, most of these companies stopped creating their stoves because their fireplaces were not up to environmental regulations and codes. Enter Quadra Fire. After nearly two years of researching and developing a new spin on an old standard, founders Dan Henry and Alan Trusler patented their new creation; the Quadra-Burn System. Their system burns and re-burns smoke and gasses up to four times. Because of this, Quadra Burn and Quadra Fire wood stoves have been rated some of the cleanest burning stoves available. Many different substances can be used as the fuel for Quadra Fire stoves. Depending on the model chosen, corn, wood, gas, and pellets can be burned in your fireplace. They are created using thick steel and this allows them to retain heat and disperse it properly and efficiently. The different products offered by Quadra Fire are: wood, pellet, corn, gas, and electric freestanding stoves, wood, pellet, corn, and gas fireplace inserts, and wood gas, and electric fireplaces. As you can see, there is a fireplace or stove for every unique taste and you are sure to find something to suit your needs. First, Quadra Fire freestanding stoves; a gas stove will give you the beautiful, rustic look of a real fire, but is much cleaner burning and easier to use. A freestanding wood stove makes you feel as though you are sitting in front of a campfire, with its comforting crackle and flickering flames. A pellet stove offers you hands off operation and ease of cleaning with its automatic ignition and jam-free system. With an electric stove, you get the beautiful glow and warmth of a real fire without all the clean-up and is portable, so you can place it in whichever room you choose. Next, Quadra Fire Inserts offer you the ability to fill in your old, drafty fireplace with something exquisite that will stand the test of time. Gas inserts look amazingly real and can heat a large room, up to 1800 square feet in some cases. Pellet inserts are very stylish, convenient, clean burning and easy to use and their largest model can heat an area of up to 2,500 square feet (depending on model). Wood inserts again give you the comfort of a real fire and since the insert covers over the existing fireplace fireplace, you get a very clean burning fire. Finally, Quadra Fire's Fireplaces offer so many choices in design and color to fit in with any décor in your home. Electric fireplaces can be placed in more rooms than you ever thought possible. They allow you to actually turn off the fireplace heater so you can still enjoy the beauty of a fire without the warmth. The gas fireplaces come in a variety of styles and this allows you to find something to fit in with any mood you are trying to convey. All of their gas fireplaces have a direct vent, which means no fussing with flues and chimneys. The wood burning fireplaces give you the smells and sounds you associate with an outdoor fire but with sealed in warmth. With a burn time of up to 16 hours in some cases, you can enjoy your wood fire all day and through the night. |
